ETON MESS


Ingredients:
1/2 k strawberries (sliced into bite size pieces)
1/2 pack all purpose cream (chilled)
12 pcs medium meringue

--Sauce--
10-15 pcs strawberries (quartered)
1/3 c sugar
1/3 c water
half a lemon juice


Instructions:
1. To make sauce, place all the ingredients in a small pan and bring to a boil. Let cool a bit and then blend well (use a blender or a processor). Place in freezer until ready to use.
2. Whip cream. Place in refrigerator for 30 mins including wire whisk. When chilled, beat the mixture until stiff peaks form.
3. Break the meringue cookies and add to cream. Add in strawberries and fold into mixture. Slowly fold in strawberry sauce.

**NOTE: (Read with English Accent) Eton mess is a dessert of English origin consisting of a mixture of strawberries, pieces of meringue and cream, which is traditionally served at Eton College's annual cricket game against the students of Winchester College.
